What can the MonaLisa Touch® treatment be used for?
Health Canada Indications for Use: Incision, excision, ablation, vaporization and coagulation of body soft tissues in gynecology and genitourinary surgery. It is also indicated for the treatment of symptoms related to Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM) including Vaginal Dryness, Vaginal Burning, Vaginal Itching, Pain, Dysuria and Dyspareunia.
Has MonaLisa Touch® been clinically studied?
MonaLisa Touch® has undergone comprehensive clinical evaluation. A study conducted from 2018 to 2020 by the Center for Vulvovaginal Disorders and the Gynecologic Cancer Research Foundation explored the potential of MonaLisa Touch Laser as an alternative treatment and management option for women with Vulvar Lichen Sclerosus.
Additionally, a 2019 paper published in BioMed Research International highlighted the laser treatment's efficacy in addressing stress urinary incontinence and genitourinary syndrome of menopause. The paper presented evidence-based medical data and concluded that this outpatient laser treatment exhibited promise as a suitable option, particularly in terms of short-term follow-ups.
